Madagascar, or Republic of Madagascar (older name Malagasy Republic), is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, off the southeastern coast of Africa.

It's spelt Madagascar. Anyway, it's a country and an island of the eastern coast of Africa. It is the fourth largest island in the world. Even tho Madagascar is part of the African continent, the people have tend to came rather from Asia ( they also look malay) so thier culture is a little bit of both. It was a French colony. France invaded Madagascar in 1883 and Madagascar became independent in 1960.There are 6 provinces in Madagascar. It is a beutiful place, (I have never been but in looks nice on tv). It has an amazing wildlife. That's all I know about it.
