Are there plenty of taxis at Los Angeles Union Station?

I know LA isn't that famous for taxis, but I am wondering if finding one at the train station or downtown LA hotels would be difficult. Thanks in advance!

(Please do not paste a link for the taxi companies, I've seen it.)

My destination will mainly be the Westin Bonaventure.

yes at union station they always seems to a few (depending on the time of day of course) but be advise they are not cheap
heres the fare sheet for Los Angeles city taxis

1. $2.65 Flag drop (First 1/7th mile).

2. $0.35 For each additional 1/7th mile ($2.45 per mile).

3. $0.35 For each 47.5 seconds waiting time and/or traffic delay ($26.53 per hour).

4. $42.00 Flat fare for trips between LAX and downtown.

5. $2.50 Surcharge for all trips originating at LAX.

6. $15.00 Minimum fare for trips originating at LAX (In addition to the $2.50 surcharge)

now my question is where do you need to go? (transit might be quicker and faster

Yes, a lot of standing outside, you can get on anytime.
There is one hotel near union station call metro plaza hotel ($79), several around downtown financial area.

Yes, there are always taxis lined up outside Union Station. Go to the west end, which is the older side, as that is closer to the Westin part of town.
