How is the quality compared from Huntington Beach to Santa Barbara?

I went to Huntington Beach last weekend, and it seems the air quality is bad. Either that or the air quality in Santa Barbara is super good. I'm asking, like, what's the comparison? EX) huntington beach has air quality worse 2 times than santa barbara. i dont know but something like that.

The politically correct answer is that Santa Barbara has better air quality, but in reality it's not really different.

For example, many people see the inversion layer or even the marine layer and assume that the air isn't healthy. Some confuse haze for pollution.

The prevailing weather conditions impact the way people "see" the air more often than any dangerous pollution.
