I am driving from LA, california to San Fran, CA and up to the wine country, where are some must see sites??? |
I am going to follow Hwy 101 i mean hwy 1 You are planning a gorgeous trip. I love this part of California's wine country...it is beautiful with lots of good wine and beautiful scenery. ooh i know. since i live in the middle central area, santa barbara. you have to stop by the beaches and shopping! lots to do, lots to do Hearst Castle: http://www.hearstcastle.com/ Check out Montery, Big Sur, Santa Barbara, any of the missions interest you? Wine Tasting along the way? In addition ...some famous people in Santa Barbara...Oprah, Steve Martin, Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, Davey Jones of the Monkees, if you have a tour guide also, take the cut off in northern Santa Barbara to see the Santa Inez Valley. There are wineries and Michael Jackson's ranch (only an outside view due to the tall trees) You might also post this in the San Fran section I am sure they know wine country better than we do..
