Do you think that the monarch should be abolished?

Do you think that Queen Elizabeth II of the Commonwealth Realms should be abolished from some of the other countries besides great britian? Like Canada, Australia, Jamaica, and Belize where she is the queen. Some think that she is just a figurehead? And then people like me think that she is more than that. What do you think? (Answers from someone whom lives within the commonwealth!)

Some think that she does nothing at all. She only does things that protain to the British. And that these other countries just pay her tax money to sit and do nothing. She has prime ministers and generals whom do all of the work on her behalf. Some say that this is not fair nor just. I just wanted to know?

It certainly doesn't sound fair to me. I have been told that they keep up the Monarch for traditional purposes, and to protect the line of royal blood. But I agree with you, this completely goes against the morals and values of today, and definitely is far from democratic.

She brings more money into UK than all the twits in Government and more than anyone on this site.

What good would it do YOU if she retired?

The Queen is a constitutional monarch - that is, she has no real power. The system is perfectly democratic - one of the most democratic in the world, and there is no real harm in keeping the monarchy. Anyway, she's not just a figurehead, she's a tourist attraction too!

In addition to being monarch of various countries within the commonwealth, the Queen is also head of the commonwealth, a function which she carries out particularly well. Far better than a politician to fill the post!
If you are a commonwealth citizen, you are entitled to your opinion on the matter, if not, mind your business.

Shut Up with your drivel. The answer is No!

Brits seem to love them, though the monarchy is way outdated, useless and very expensive. she is indeed a figurehead -- the PM and others actually govern. she just signs papers and attends public functions.
