Camden town market fire?

We go to London twice a year for a long weekend we loved to go to Camdon market on a sunday morning have something to eat at one of the little stalls and have a loock around we have done it for years .sorry for the peaple who have lost so much .we will miss it.H.

You don't have to worry: your long weekend Sunday mornings are still safe. =D The two main markets (the Stables and Camden Lock) are open as usual.
In fact, they weren't affected by the fire at all, except during the initial hours when firefighters cleared the whole area on the night of Saturday 9 Feb and during the next day. There was then quite a bit of traffic disruption over the following week because several roads were still closed: that affected traders both in getting stock to and from their stalls but also because visitors were being told to stay away.

The principal damage was done to the poor old Hawley Arms pub, and to the Canal Market section.
To help you visualise it, have a look at the map here ( http://www.camdenlock.net/camdenmap/map.... ). The closed bit is marked in orangey-red. Everything in yellow is still open.

So come back soon and visit your favourite haunts...
Love from a Londoner born and bred. =)

It was just that pub that burned down wasn't it? Shame anyway, it was a cracking little boozer.

its still there m8 it didnt all get burnt
just part of it
you can still go to whats left

I was there yesterday. The media totally over-hyped the fire. Only a small part of one of the markets was destroyed. 90% of it is still there, thriving.

Dont worry............its only 5-10% of it that burnt down..............90-95% is still there so............yeah.......i was there the other day.
