How many people are moving out of London?

I am somebody who moved out of London last year, finally the noise pollution overcrowding, cost, violence, transport etc. etc. got too much for us and we said enough is enough and moved to Cardiff South Wales which we love. it's like England was 50 years ago in some ways, yet with all the modern stuff you'd expect in 2008. most of the people I meet are also escapees, mostly from London, it's not very much like Wales here at all, a bit like Stoke Newington by the sea! I know Kenn Livingstone talks of 'white flight' and I didn't personally move due to any race reasons, simply overcrowding by all types of people, and probably half the friends I have made in London have done the same for the same reasons. Others are contemplating it.

I wondered if anybody on here had moved out of London and what were your reasons and where did you move to and how is it in comparison. Personally I think it was the best decision I ever made, how about you? Miss London? Hate London?

I am leaving London ASAP; currently flat hunting in another city. It's so expensive and overcrowded and there is a lack of community spirit which you can find up North or even in Scotland. I'll still visit London and may move back one day but I'm fed up for now. I'll miss the shops and the social scene and some of my work and friends but it's time to move on. I mean, I had to wait 3 hours for a bus the other day, thinking I could drive to Manchester within that space of time...enough!!

I can fully understand your reasons for moving and good luck to you but probably like you i was born and breed here and i love it i visited north wales last year and what a wonder full place it is.I did move out a couple of years ago and it was all nice then after a while i got very home sick i didn't like the quietness i missed my Friends and family so i came back but then every one is different.
