Travelling to London gatwick tonightt...Need helpp please.?

tonight we shall be leaving our country for a 6-day visit to london. I believe we shall be landing at gatwick airport at around 23:45 . Our hotel is booked at paddington. How should I get from gatwick to paddington at a budget at around midnight please?? thanks guys!

Trains continue to run from Gatwick Airport to London Victoria after the frequent day service has finished, through out the night every 30 minutes. From Victoria there is a night bus to Paddington route N 36. This departs from a stop in Wilton Road to the right side of Victoria Station, as you leave through the front exit, rather than from the main bus terminal in front of the station. (dave M below is mistaken; trains from Gatwick to Victoria run all night)

Dont go.
I lived there for 13yrs and it was shitt!

maybe hire a car and gps unit be cheaper than taxi

I'd take the Gatwick Express out of Gatwick Airport... it's cheap.

And then, from Victoria Station (where the Gatwick Express takes you), you could get a cab or take the tube. Probably a cab would be safer at that hour...

Gatwick Express Train !!!!!!

Runs very often and is cheap , take right to central London

You chose a bad time of day to arrive I'm afraid!

The cheapest way is the coach (about 拢6.00)... Unfortunately they stop running at half past midnight which is too late for you. There is a train (the Gatwick Express about 拢16.00 single) but they to stop running at about 1.00 am so any delay might mean that you miss it.

The train takes you to Victoria - which is central London but not walking distance to Paddington...

On balance (unless you want to wait 'till 5.30am and get the coach / tube which is the cheapest option), your best bet might be the dot2dot (拢17.00). The link is here

Good luck - have a great time in London!
