What is your favorite museum or gallery in london? |
Out of all the Museums and Gallerys in london which one is your favorite and why. Although I love many of London's museums and galleries, one stands out because it's so extraordinary: the Soane Museum (known properly as Sir John Soane's Museum). It stands facing Lincoln's Inn Fields, in the lawyers' district of Holborn in central London, and is made up of three domestic terraced houses. British Museum I love the natural history museum, i could stay in there forever it never gets boring. The Tate is good as well but i prefer the latter. Science museam,Full of interesting things. National Gallery, it has Monet's Water Lilies It has to be the British Museum, so full of stuff, so diverse and always changing to prevent stagnation. The War Museum its not full of dinosaurs. I like the Portrait Gallery, even if it is overpriced! The Tate for really ultramodern national Natural history and science museum The Horniman Museum - down Saarf in Forest Hill. I live practically next door, and the collection is fantastically eclectic. Without a doub tthe Tate Modern, I never fail to see something new and to be stimulated by the art. There are always fantastic exhibitions ie: frido kahlo. I've been twenty times and still hav'nt seen everything. Kenwood House, Hampstead Heath. All the pictures are by British artists like Gainsborough etc and the setting of the building in landscaped gardens surrounded by Hampstead Heath, is gorgeous. Portrait Museum & The Tate Britian |
