On what date was the Literary & Debating Society of the Liverpool Institute founded? |
I think it went back the nineteenth century at least! Are there any Liobians who can assist with this question? The school had it's origins in 1825, but on a different premises. In 1832 the school with the facade you know today was finished. It would not have had a debate class when it was a girls school. That leaves the time to about 1840 when the boys school took over, or 1905 when the LCC took over. |
