What is the dodgiest area of Liverpool as far as crime is concerned? |
Which Liverpool neighbourhood, in your mind, is an absolute no-go area after dark? Scotland Road is a no-go area after dark, as is Croxteth, Norris Green, Anfield and parts of Walton. Toxteth. Toxteth used to be bad, years ago.. when i visited.. they had riots there. The whole metropolitan area. beginning about five miles past Junction 23 on the M6 to finishing about five miles out into the Irish sea. (Just to be safe.) Toxteth is infamously bad but the whole place is a bit grim. A little research on chavtowns.com will satisfy your curiosity anybody who says toxteth is wrong! the worst area in Liverpool is now anfield! i lived there all my life and managed to drag myself away from the place 3 years ago,but my family are still there. toxteth is still a little bit run down in places, but i think the big influx of students and professional people coming to the city in the last 10 to 15 years has helped regenerate the area to a certain degree. toxteth is still stigmatised with what happen in the 80,s with the riots which is a bit unfair! Knotty Ash,those Diddy men are little devils!! Norris green and Croxteth park, lived there for 2 years. Not any more tho. I've lived in Toxteth for two years and have never had a problem, don't get me wrong it has its fair share of problems like anywhere, but no longer lives up to its reputation it's kept from the 80's riots. The places i would stay away from are on the outskirts as many places surrounding the centre are now under regeneration and are attracting alot of students and professionals. reading all these answers they make liverpool sound like a war zone i lived here all me life dingle - croxteth and would not move liverpool is like any major city it has its problems but common sense tell you take this place like any were else and act responsabile and with care like you would any other city |
