Was Ringo right to be honest about Liverpool? |
Was Ringo right to be honest about Liverpool? In a way yes, it is always good to be honest about anything. In all fairness though in this particular instance he could of been a little bit more economical with the truth bearing in mind he was talking to a man who makes no excuses for disliking Liverpool. Instead of saying he misses nothing about Liverpool, he could of easily said that their are things he does miss no matter how trivial. Myself coming from Liverpool (no I'm not a whingeing scouser lol) I feel let down in a way because we need poeple to tell everyone about Liverpool, and he had a big chance to tell the rest of the U.K if not the world that their is much to do in Liverpool, both culturally and comercially; and gone are the days of the unemployed 'gizza job' stereotype of mustacheod men running round with a perm so tight that their head looks like a blown up spring factory. I think we need people to see this now and see that Liverpool which has been on its knees for so long is finally emerging like a pheonix from the flames and is at last beginning to thrive again. Answer was well thought out and written. Report It Sure. I don't really see what he'd've gained by lying. He has a right to voice his opinion but that does not mean it is right Has he ever been there long enough (since - say, 1965) to air an opinion? He has a right to his opinion. Did he have to go on national T V to do IT ...? Sure. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. Would you stay in Liverpool if you had his money?. |
