STANLEY PARK.Mature Trees, some over 100 yrs Old,are being felled to cater for LFC,a travesty to the City of?

I dont believe it ! they are not allowed old trees have protection orders, and would you belive its the council who give permission to fell them, like the grant planiing permissions ect. ! there is somewhere you can go and i cant rem the name, of protection for trees , some trust or heritage ????? I will edit info when i rem name. someone should ring them quick (is it national trust )

Liverpool, its an absolute disgrace why are they letting them get away with it.

hope they got planning to do it if not they are in the slurry.

this is really bad ,stanley park was a great place and liverpool fc should not be allowed to build there ,shame on the liverpool councillors and mayor for allowing it

You gave it away in the question, Liverpool.i would do away with a 100 yr old person before a 100 yr old tree.

100 years is not that old for a tree, look at the Allerton oak in Calderstones Park.
I Live close to Stanley Park, and the stadium is going to be built (If it ever happens) on the match day car park and open space used for kids football. I Don't think the actual gardens will be affected. In fact part of the deal is to restore the rest of the park to its former glory, and give the footprint of the present stadium over to green space.
I have no problem with the stadium being built as long as all the promises are kept ( community facilities, restoration of the park etc)

The question has to be asked, Who else is going to invest upwards of 拢400 million in Anfield?

Vancouver,

NO leave are trees alone besides they should downsize the stadium they are not going to have money for future players otherwise. Unless maybe some back handers to council?? This city has already had it's skyline ruined with all these tall buildings. It is about time us citizens had our say and votes (some hope). By the way being an evertonian i'm not biased just fed up of the wrong people making our choices for us.

Damned disgraceful in my opinion, and you call yourself the new european city of culture, or should that read, Horticulture.

i used to play in Stanley park as a kid, spent hours in there, i think its a disgrace, hope the whole plan goes pear shaped .......................

City if culture what a laugh ...At the end of the day the people of Liverpool elected these jokers in .....it use to be a city full of culture but the dick head council have done away with most of it .It wont be long before there is none at all left... GOD SAVE THE TREES
