I'm thinking of moving to?

Liverpool what areas should I avoid also what is the cost of living like and are there plenty of jobs

Best places in Liverpool are Childwall, Allerton, Grassendale, Aigburth (pronounced Eggbirth), Woolton, Gateacre (pronounced Gataker), Sefton Park, and West Derby. The New Apartments in the city centre and around Liverpool Yacht club are quite exclusive too.

Cost of living is cheaper than rest of England but there are a wide verity of shops to choose from including designer clothes shops if you are that way inclined.

If you are a professional (Teacher Lawyer Doctor etc) you should have no problem finding work

there are the obvious admin call centre etc jobs, for something decent you will have to search a little as many are taken. but there is plenty,.personally if i was to pick an area id say childwall or any of south liverpool, or the actual centre.

ignore anyone who says its full or robbers etc lol as this isnt the case its a very safe place compared to many, theres lots to see and do and with 2008 capital of culture looming, lots more shops and amenities on the way to add to the load we already have and the place is constantly getting better. hope you make the move and enjoy it here because i certainly do x

Great place to go

Move here great city great buildings, also geores hall prince charles fav building in the world. Capital of culture i could go on. Yes it is my city and i love it. We are not all bad you know, good and bad all over uk.

It is a wonderful city to live provided you don't live in one of the bad areas, true for all cities these days though.

Areas to avoid would be;
Croxteth, Norris Green, Walton, Kensington, Kirkdale, Everton, Bootle, Anfield, Toxteth, Huyton. Especially the first 3 nowdays.

Cost of living is cheaper compared with the rest of the country, although I have moved to Los Angeles a year ago i can't see it changing too much in that time. I think for your average semi in a decent area your looking at around 200k.

European Capital of Culture now too, get in and enjoy the party!
