Historically speaking, what neighbourhoods around Liverpool were seen as mostly middle-class and Protestant?

I'm not too sure which areas have always been considered protestant as I think there's a mix. I know in the past Everton supporters have always been considered catholic and Liverpool supporters protestant, however, this isn't the case anymore.

As to the middle class areas, these days and historically the more middle class/upper class areas are/were Woolton, Aigburth, Mossley Hill and Allerton to the South and Crosby, Formby and Ainsdale to the North and just outside Liverpool but still in Merseyside would be The Wirral and Southport.

In Georgian and Victorian times areas like Toxteth and Newsham were very upper class, however this isn't the case these days. However, the gorgeous Georgian terraces are still intact in the Georgian quarter of Liverpool 8, which are so elegant and are now leased as mainly flats. You can still see the Victorian houses around Newsham park, however they're run down these days, but hopefully not for too long as they have been recently granted some heritage status and have to be looked after now.

Hope that helps a little?

I dont think there are any.

wherever the Beatles hung out the cavern
