Osama Bin Lorry why would anyone want to live in that cultural wasteland known as Manchester? The only heart warming view of the place is in the rear view mirror on the M602.
I know a few barristers, some live around Sefton Park -Aigburth area, and Colderstones.
As for the rest take your pick, Woolton, Gateacre, Childwall, Cressington, Mossley Hill, West Derby. The area around Hope St, Blackburne place seems to be booming with people like this being attracted to living close to the city centre.
Doctors of course would be close to their practices in Rodney St which is known as the Harley St of the north.

Is there one of them in Manc land?

No I didn't think so.

The big posh bit just outside. Known as Manchester.

Rodney Street, Hope Street, Childwall, Mather Avenue in or around those areas

The Wirral.. over the river to Liverpool... a few celebs live there

Woolton, Calderstones, Cressington, West Derby or Childwall but not in any part, depends on the house price.

If Manchester is posh the end of the world is nearer than I thought

Much as I love the city of Liverpool, if you really want a good outdoor life with gentle walking on beaches or over heather-covered hills with wonderful views out to sea, and across to the Welsh Hills, you cannot go wrong with the West coast of the Wirral,. There are plenty of sporting clubs, sailing etc.
Excellent for birdwatching.
All this only 25 mins from West Kirby to central Liverpol by train, with all the benefits of this great city.

wirral, very nice place next to liverpool across the mersey side. wirral is a peninsula. if you have money Caldy or west kirby in wirral is preety good to reside.
