What sights are there around Limerick?

I'm from Texas and transferring to the University of Limerick. What kind of things are there to do in Limerick?

Did you think it was Limerick PA and not Limerick Ireland?!!

Assuming it's Limerick Ireland there's quite a lot to do and see.

There's a medieval castle and cathedral, some musuems, parks etc. It's on the river shannon so there are a few riverside walks including one out at the University.

Nightlife - plenty of bars and clubs for different styles and ages.

The seaside resorts of Clare and Kerry are within driving distance.

If you're here for a while you should get to see a lot of the country. Dublin is 2.5 hours by train.

thomond park is the home of rugby
trinity rooms is a great night club
there are a few pubs on campus
you could go for on trip on the Shannon estuary
there is a load to do there

Saint Johns castle is good,Bunratty castle and clare is near
