What's there to do/see in Limerick please??

What's there to do/see in Limerick please??

Currently the weather in western Ireland is nice which allows for some outside site seeing. The is King Johns Castle, which is awesome, the historical walking tour which leaves from the main tourist information center at 1100am and is lead by a great historian. Also there is the national gallery and the Hunt museum for art fans.

Walking along the banks of the Shannon was also fun for me. Limerick is also a good base for exploring County Clair and County Limerick as well.

Me, actually!!!

besides the stabbings, casual muggings and tasteful acts of wrecklessness theres king johns castle, bucholz/mcevoy's fine architectural limerick county hall building, as well as the fine munster rugby team training in the university of limerick. university of limerick has some fine arts to offer as well as some stunning sculptures. theres also the stables pub on the univerisitys campus, if you wanna meet i will be wearing a red rose

Eat an 'Ulster Fry' for breakfast (if you have a 2 gallon stomach)
Drink REAL Guinness, not that diluted hogsswill they call Guinness over here in the US.
Meet some very kind and warm people
Learn LOTS of Limericks
Look out for the 'Wee Folk'
Buy a Shelaghlie (sp?)
Enjoy good food, green countryside and narrow roads, you may even be lucky enough to ride in a horse drawn caravan (gypsy type)

My time in Limerick was spent drinking
That's all the weather really allows for;-)

Go to the tourist board site for a few suggestions
