What's the best place to visit in Ireland that's not touristy?

Would like to rent a quaint little cottage on the coast where no one else is around for miles.

Go to kerry country in the Black Valley. It is right by the Gap of Dunloe (the gap does get some tourists for carriage rides and hoarse back rides but you won't see them int he valley). I stayed there in a hostel that was just a house someone ownes and rents out. No one else stayed at the hostel and if you'd like you can get a cab to Killarney which is about 10 miles away.

Clonakilty, Co. Cork is a great little town, no touristy feeling there.

Almost anywhere in Northern Ireland. The conflict is now over but tourists have yet to arrive in numbers. The Antrim coast is world famous and there are plenty of cottages for rent where your only neighbours are the cliffs and the seagulls. Try www.discovernorthernireland.com

donegal is very quite around kilcar is lovley !!!
