Leeds housing?

Hey..
I'm wondering what is the most safest place to live in leeds but it has to be near leeds uni.
some people say LS17 is really nice but its not that close to leeds uni.
some help me here i need to find a place ASAP

LS6, which consists of Headingley, Hyde Park and Meanwood are probably the best places to look. Hyde Park is the nearest to uni and town but there is a really good bus system from Headingley (or about 30 minute walk) to uni/town and, as the others say, its got some good bars and shops as well as lots going on with the rugby and cricket. Meanwood is probably the cheapest of the three rent/property wise. Just be careful and fully check out the houses/landlords before you move in and, if renting, make sure you get a clear tenancy agreement as with any city.

You could try the new "village" in the centre, LS1 but it'll cost A LOT. Alternativly there's Headingly, it's packed with students

LS 6, Headingley is safe, has many bedsits, bed and breakfasts, student quarters, supermarket and a variety of other shops, food outlets, pubs etc.. Also, is home the Leeds pro rugby club and famous Yorkshire cricket ground.
There is a direct bus route from Headingley to Leeds City Centre via the University (only about 5 bus stops).

I have lived in LS6 on Hyde Park Road for 2 years. Never had ANY problems, apart from one drunken moron walking over my car at 3am one Friday morning.. we saw him though.. and made sure he was sorry..

a lot of undercover AND marked police walking round here, too.
