Why visit leeds?

Why visit leeds?

See Cricket at Headingley, not to forget the brilliant rugby league team, cross the road and bowl at one of the oldest pubs - the Oaktree, visit Leeds' other wonderful pubs. The list goes on and on. How about shopping in this wonderful town - best in the north. Countryside within 5 miles, horse races at Wetherby, great house at Harewood. Airport for international flights to the sunny Med. For road access A1, M1 and M62 will take you to all places, N,S,E or W. Oh, if you are a soccer fan what about watching Leeds United at Elland Road? There are some lovely villages within Leeds Metro District in which to live. My favourite was Bardsey and it's surrounding area. Have you visited the Bingley Arms? that's a must.
My family live there so it is the greatest place to visit (Askor -even Garforth --happy new year)

Why not?

You could go for the excellant shopping

Something to do & a good cultural experience.

They've got some kick-@$$ pubs/locals there. I always start in London and work my way to York to visit cousins. They ALWAYS take to Leeds at some point...and I ALWAYS end up at some woman's house, unable to recollect anything.
Leeds United is still playing. Go see them!

Why indeed

It's better than visiting Bradford.

It is the best city in England.
And yes, I have been out of the city!
From a Paranormal view, Leeds/York is predicted to be the most haunted city in England, possibly Europe.
We have great historical buildings and stories:
Armley Mills.
Kirkstall Abbey
Thackray Museum.
Royal Armouries.
Horsforth Museum.
Temple Newsam house ( Very interesting to visit. )
And many more.

We also have great shopping centres.
Emmerdale tours!
Art galleries, Tropical World.
