How many hours is wales from leeds?

We are just below Leeds and can pick up the M62 west and then follow the signs for Chester and onwards to Wales from there (forget the numbers of the roads but it's well sign posted) and we can be at Holyhead ferry port in a couple of hours, depending on traffic of course because going round the top of Manchester can be a nightmare at times!

Though I have to be honest here and say that because of where we are, we mostly miss out the M62 and go via the Woodhead pass and Glossop towards Manchester Airport...always find it's a lot quicker that way too.

Which part of Wales?

Leeds to Cardiff is around a 4 hour car drive and about 235 miles away.

Choose off-peak travel hours and driving to North Wales will take two to three hours. In peak hours the M62 is a nightmare. Look into train routes (pretty views) but as I remember going across England was a lot slower than North/South trains.

You can enter your start and end destinations and you will get a route together with the time you'd expect to take. (But allow extra time at peak times, because the M62 gets very crowded and very slow). There are options on the website to get an off-motorway route as well.
