Living in Leeds?

Hi again, I tried asking this question a little while ago but I accidently 'resolved' it before getting a variety of responses. Anyhoo, my family and I may be moving to Leeds (from Melbourne, Aust. - and yes I am in my right mind) for a couple of years and I was wondering where the best place to live close to town for a young family would be?

Northside by the river.
