Thinking Of Renting A House In Leeds ?

Hiya, I'm thinking of renting a house in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
I have been to the area a few times in the past, and I enjoy all the shops and markets, aswell as the historical places to visit.
Does anyone know any other advantages or disadvantages of living in Leeds ?

There are no disadvantages to living in Leeds, it's a wonderful place as you already know!! We have great shopping, loads of parks and the people are so friendly. I personnally live to the East of the city and the schools are extremely good, both schools near me infant and upper schools have had outstanding given by OFSTED. You can rent in the centre of the city and cut down on travel as there are loads of new flats. Headingley has a lot of rental properties due to the very large student population. Leeds has superb nightlife and has a good reputation for safety, but like anywhere be safe. Any more questions please re post and I will endeavour to answer you.

dont bother not safe to walk in street at night wld need abodyguard its a **** hole

I lived in Leeds for 12 years, went to Uni and loved it and didn't leave!
It has changed a lot since and there are lots of advantages of living there, namely the shops, availability of activities etc good transport links etc. Just do your research and avoid the areas which tend to have a high crime rate.
The down side for us was we started a family and at that time could not afford to move house to a more child friendly/rural area, so we moved right away and as a result live in the sticks where we have began to raise our brood!
I still really enjoy returning to Leeds though as the bit I didn't mention is that the local people are amongst the most friendly and welcoming I have ever met!
