Yorkshire Evening Post?

Why is it that you can buy the Yorkshire Evening Post at 10 o'clock in the morning? Surely this contradicts the whole point of the papers title?

Just to mention for the benefit of those not from Yorkshire. We already have a Yorkshire Post as well as Yorkshire Evening Post so that's not an option.

The YP is on the streets and in the newsagents by 4.30 am ish. I think they print the Evening Post first edition mid morning. There are further updated editions throughout the day.

Seems odd, are you sure it's not last nights edition which got left on the shelf

In much the same you can buy the London Evening Standard early in the day, to sell more papers, should just say Yorkshire Post ?

Conversely, why does the Royal Mail deliver the morning post in the afternoon?
Funny old world eh?
Maybe the journos from the Yorkshire Post should take over the Royal Mail.
