Lower Wortley Leeds?

In the 1950s i used to visit my grandparents who lived in weston grove Lower Wortley Leeds it had a lovely park i spent happy weakends there. has the area changed now i am thinking of buying property there.Is it safe i would like advice.

live around that area now,the park is still a great place to be, area is better than armley

how should i know?
