bout 200-250 miles

The distance between London and Leeds is approx 200 miles, and it takes around 2 hours to travel from one to the other by train via the old 'Flying Scotsman' (a famous train) route.

Go to www.google.com and then click onto "Maps" It is the fourth button along and currently has the word "New" written in red next to it.

Underneath the search bar there is a button called "Get Directions" click onto this and type in the search box London and in the second search box (end address) Leeds.

Approximately 200 miles (c. 320 km). The train from Leeds to Kings Cross takes 2.5 hours. Travel by car via the M1 - (realistically) from 3.5 to 5 hours depending on speed and traffic conditions.

Edit: How right you are, Scoons. Leeds IS ten years ahead of London.
