People living in Leeds only please.....?

Im moving to Leeds in September to go to uni and I have to choose my accomodation now...was wondering does anyone know whether it would be more advantageous to live around the Cardigan Road area or the Exchange quarter? Im going to Leeds Met so which is closer? And which area has better amenities?

I work at Leeds Met so aught to be able to help!! Hope you are chosing reputable landlord (like unipol) or at least staying in halls cos there is some dodgy property out there.

OK well:
Cardigan Road is right in the middle of studentville and if that is what you want it should be fine - plenty of student pubs, restaurants, take aways, etc and not fat from LeedsMet or Headingly Carnegie Stadium.

Exchange quarter is right next to the city centre so if town centre pubs and clubs are what you want then you will be fine there, right next to the shops, etc but I would guess that things will be a bit dearer here.

If travelling is what you are considering then there is very little difference in distance - 15 min walk max whichever you choose -pretty sure the Exchange Quarter is on the Leeds Free Bus Route which does (eventually) call at Leeds Met too

Hope that helps - feel free to email if you want to know more.

The cardigan road area is much better.

i agree with rich t
