Why is Leeds city centre closed to traffic? what's the event?

So people can celebrate them getting relegated and going bust at the same time.

I thought there'd been a huge explosion devastating half of the city centre, but no, apparently it's always that bad.

i think they are pulling down eland road and making a garden centre out of it,plants should grow well there after all there has been enough sh*t on it for years

there is some sort of fun run going on .....or is it a bike race ...forgot now someone did tell me last week ....my memory isn't quite has good as it was .....ps part of kirkstall road is blocked off too......
