Cousins marrying cousins?

Isnt this a form of incest, i personally find this whole thing disgusting, i would rather die than marry my cousin =]

Personally it doesn't appeal to me but on the other hand what are your thoughts about homosexual relationships , both male & female , being accepted & formalised by " marriage ?"

It's not a form of incest, it IS incest. Some places allow it if you're very distant cousins...but in general, that's pretty wrong.

People used to do it all the time. I personally don't care how other people choose to live. To me, it's more disgusting for 2 guys to be married than cousins.

If your cousin was Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp or Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson or Rob Lowe would it make things easier.

yea I believe it's disgusting as well... but some people do not have enough education to know that and they think that it's better to keep it in the family... eww, don't wanna even think about it.. but it gotta stop for sure!!!

I don't care for it but am not against it. It is completely normal in the Arab society/ Muslim soceity also. Iranians, Arabs, Afghans they do it too. It's just the ones growing up in America find it disgusting, back home it is natural. Plus, Islam has nothing against it and is percieved as "noraml." So quit bitching. So if you're cousin looked like Christian Ronaldo or Orlando Bloom you would die?wow

I cant judge what another cultures have as normal.
We tend to critizice what is not normal or wellseen in our own society.
I personally shouldn't have married any of my cousins, bcoz we were (are) so close , and have grown up like brothers, but there are cousins that dont even know each others.
In my particular case, my grandparents by my dad's side were cousins. Their marriage didnt last so much, bcoz he was killed in the war, but they had 2 kids. I didnt know my grandfather, but i had the luck to enjoy a childhood with my grandmother.
I never looked my granny as a phenomenous......she was a lovely woman. One sometimes has to think about the reasons that take pple to marry a cousin.
For me is much more disgusting a marriage among lesbians or homosexual guys.....that even raise kids.
What kind of values can that kids get?
Anyways...I'm not the persons that will judge that...
