What do you do at 4.00 am?


when you just can't sleep!!

I tried everything, but nothing seems to work, this is the second night in a row, am i having insomnia?

hmm now you know how I feel when I am here playing solitare while yall are at work... do what I do play a game online or watch tv read something..are you having any stress?... you will get sleepy soon im sure :)

i would be sleeping!...lol

Watch TV, play on the computer, make coffee....what ever I feel like...

I try the computer, my radio or check the fridge when I have trouble getting setteld.

4:00 is a rough time to be up. Are you taking in a lot of caffeine late in the evening? Are you sleeping in late and trying to go to bed at a "normal" time? Look at yourself for a bit then look for another reason.

I've heard melatonin an hour before bedtime is supposed to do pretty well with some to get them asleep. When this happens there's usually a good reason for it. Finding it is the hard part.

Sleep or watch TV or fold laundry

Take a whole bunch of sleeping pills, like 3x the recomended dose, then ease off of it (first 2 days 3x dose, then 2 days of 2x dose, then 2 days of recommended dose, then no pills and you should be able to sleep fine.

the Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride (benadryl) type, i used rite aid brand.

worked for me.

perfectly safe, you would have to take something like 10x the recommended dose before its harmful.

Ghanouge, you should make a cup of warm milk or camomille and try to relax or meditate. It's going to be hard to go to work tomorrow.

how often do you have this insomnia ?... is it only these two nights ?... if yes then no worries ... but if it's frequent then we should work on that ...

it's 4 AM .. I'm listening to Epica and wishing I was somewhere else entirely .. a place made entirely of Fiberglass and white Styrofoam where I can bang on endlessly ...

Well you and Aussie have alot in common! You can talk to each other until your both slurring words because your so tired.

Seriously! I always have a warm milo drink before i go to bed. It is routine now and seems to help....sweet dreams!!

try a hot shower

Try 100% Valerian Root Extract. Take it a half hour before bedtime. I guarantee you'll get good nights sleep. Warning though, you had better be in bed with-in that half hour, or you'll be sleeping elsewhere.

That's usually the time that I wake up ...I have a bit of a ritual..

I crank up the computer , make shay , read emails then.....OPEN ANSWERS !

It dawns at about 4.30am in Summer here so I get to see the start of the new day....love that !

I start to get reading to go to sleep..I sleep late..verrrrrrrry late.

do u know why u can't sleep? if u have troubles or things that keep ur mind busy, then that's the reason, clear r mind and finish all the unfinished business.. if u drink codffe or any product late that keeps u from sleeping, stop drinking it at a late time and if u can sleep during the morning, it's not insomnia.. just try to relax when u lay on the bed and put out all the lights and think of nice thoughts.. u will sleep deep..

I would try to go to sleep,i know its hard but i cant be bothered to get up and take a shower or watch TV or even read,as soon as i go to bed,i dont get up,khalas lol

I always get up the same time every day, and go to bed the same time, so I usually don't have insomnia, but if I can't sleep, I get up, get a glass of warm milk, look at it, wonder why I got warm milk, then go back to bed. It never fails!
