Lebanese People are manners still important to you ......?

Are you still in the habit of saying such basic things as please & thank you ....?

Ghanouge ....yes , no ,maybe ....dunno ! What would you like cut off dear ?

Yes, thank you!
And if I please may say it, that is why people find me so pleasant, especially older people who consider it more important. For me, not greeting people is very odd, saying good morning, afternoon, evening, how are you, take care... Some find it old fashioned, but that is me. Courtesy is priceless and yet it doesn麓t cost a thing, as they say ...
By the way Kumara, I am sorry to learn that and you are welcome as a contact, for sure. Take care girl ...

P. S.
I wanted to share a story but I couldn't find it in the Net so I'll try to tell you anyway, but I'll ommit the nationalities in order not to offend anyone:
Two gentlemen from neighboring countries (one known to very polite and the other to be very rude) were traveling by car on a rather bad, bumpy road and the rude man was making fun of the polite one. - "I don't see why you have to make use of all these words and manners... why, for me it is nothing but thin air" ...To what the other man didn't even want to reply as the first man wasn't going to change his mind anyway...
A little further ahead, the car had a flat tyre (tire for U.S.A. Eng) so they were forced to stop and wait for it to be changed. While they were outside, the polite man asks the rude one: "what is inside of a tyre?" The rude one replies: "nothing... just air".
So, the polite man tells him: "you see, there is nothing but thin air inside of a tyre, but it makes the trip a hell lot smoother doesn't it? "

Amy Vanderbilt
Good manners have much to do with the emotions. To make them ring true, one must feel them, not merely exhibit them.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
There is no outward sign of true courtesy that does not rest on a deep moral foundation.
I found this nice quotations on this nice site and I totally agree with them ...

Yes, very much so!
And I would like to take this opportunity to ask that my former contacts, PLEASE...add me as a contact!
As you can see...I am starting all over again...

Nope, Why do you PLEASE ask such questions by HURTING ME! would you PLEASE cut it off!

I was raised the British way ... but in my teens I became a total metal-head ... now I'm polite and respectful but when I'm crossed I turn into a real SOB ...

yes , I do it all the time .

yes, shocking isn't it?

It is a habit I earn it when I was in college and worked in a professional work place.

yes i see it everywhere they are still lot of ppl acting so politely they really impressed u with their high level of politesse and noble behavior
me i always do my best to talk &walk and act politely even though inside me there is a naughty girl but why should inocent ppl support my madness so let act politely saying please thank you that' s so nice you're welcome exuse me would you plz pardon my this and that
this is the way ppl should act in public with the others
ppl will lobe you when they see how kind and nice you are but not faking be the way you are
this is the way i've been raised and i will raise my kids in the futur

Yes........always.
For me Thanks........Please and Sorry are common words.
Also Good morning or Good afternoon / evening / night..
I hate pple that comes inside a shop or a public place without say that.
It's a norm of courtesy and good education.

yes, manners are my top #1 list in my life!

on top of my list of manners...
please, thank you, and excuse me, are always on my tounge...

and i thank god i still have those manners cause nowadays we can observe that those manners are missing between a lot of people....

Sorry, can you please repeat the question? Thank you.

Definitely!! That is something really important to me and my children have been taught to always use their manners. I love hearing them say please and thank you when we are out. I don't care if they aren't rocket scientists, as long as they use their manners and are polite human beings .
