Do you sometimes sleep while ??

Driving??

Today i was this close to sleep while driving, and i was soo tired that i didn't care what might happen, lol, i just wanted to sleeep!!!

but now, im wide awake!

Why do you feel sleepy while driving but when you arrive home, your eyes just seem to never shut down!??

I haven't fallen asleep behind the wheel, but i do sometimes get distracted by the radio or kids fighting and i later realise that I don't remember driving down the stretch of road I have just driven. It scares me! I concentrate more after that....
I hope you can find a way to get more sleep Ghina because I would hate anything to happen to you.... :D

we tend to sleep for a micro-second while driving because we seem to be "hypnotized" by the road in front of our moving car.it's dangerous that way.better pull over at the side of the road for a while,get out and do some stretching.

we feel sleepy while driving because we're like a child/baby who is being carried and danced by our mother while singing a lullaby.the feeling of being inside a moving car is like that.maybe that's why my toddler doesn't want to nap during the day.but everytime i put her in the car she sleeps right away,no matter what time of day. =)

I worked as limousine driver for a while. If you had a good sleep at night you wont feel sleepy at anytime in the day. Sometimes we use to stay awake till 5 or 6 Am then sleep for 4 hours and resume work. At Night my eyes would be making love to each others. :)

I've never had a good night sleep since March 2007.

wow Ghina you should work on this ... Be careful because drowsing on the road could lead to very serious consequences ... so you should make sure you have enough sleep at night with all the lights turned off ...

as for the second part ... it happens to me all the time ... I think that the knowledge that we're "home" and "safe" makes us forget about sleep ... so if you're sleepy at work and you come home and suddenly feel awake (Because of the music, TV, computer ...) ... shut everything off and put some relaxing music and go take a nap anyway ... you'll find it easy to go to sleep then ...

Dangerous.You need to improve your sleeping habit.
also, try to make the drive home more stimulating,think about us for example.

lol No never,im always wide awake,but if im sitting at the back seat yea i do get sleepy

never while driving G. Even if i was drunk i go sober behind the wheel..
but in the back seat... well hell i sleep like a baby :D

yes in the morning in traffic it always happend specialy in winter

No....if i have to drive long distances i make sure to sleep well the night b4.
but, if my husband or any of my sons are the ones driving..........my eyes dont want to keep open, and it seems i didnt sleep in ages.

Yes , many times ! At the beginning of the year I really struggled to stay awake ...to the point that I would pull over & get out of the car to try to freshen up !
In my case it was totally due to lack of good sleep .....too much computer at night & then trying to get to sleep when my brain was over stimulated.
Maybe it's the rythem of the road that lulls us into this state & then when we get out other stimulents kick in...not sure but I do know it scared the daylights out of me !

Nope because I cant drive (yet!) lol.
Just drink lotsa coffee! =]
