How do you pronounce Pahrump?

It is "pah" (as in mom and pa ), and rump, just like it sounds. Accent on the first syllable.

Pahrump's Name
The Southern Pauites, the American Indians who occupied the Pahrump Valley centuries ago, named the valley "Pah" meaning water, and "Rimpi" meaning stone or rock. Pah Rimpi became Pahrump, the Pauite description for flowing waters emerging from rock. The aquifer lying under the Pahrump Valley reportedly is the third largest in the United States.
