When is the best time to go to Las Vegas and save lots of money?

I want to take my boyfriend to Las Vegas for his B-day (June 22) but I would like to save money in hotels and everything. When is the lowest season? We are driving so we just need a good hotel and save save and save. Is it possible???

I also want to keep the Vegas experience for him . We wanna stay somewhere close to erverything.

Vegas and saving are polar opposites!
I have lived here for almost 40 years and you do need
some $$$ to enjoy Vegas.
Vegas has changed over the years and even the cheapest Buffets are around $10.00.
Save as much as you can before you get here so you can truly enjoy yourself when you get here.

Since you have a car, look for clean and comfortable motels away from action of Vegas. If you don't mind driving 20 minutes or so, the further from the casinos, the cheaper the stay.

July and August are considered the "off-season" in Las Vegas. As the temperatures rise, the prices drop. And Sandie B is right about getting away from the mainstream. Enjoy ......

The first part of June is very cheap, and May too.

Book now that is a good way to get cheap hotels!! Vegas doesn't have a cheap season! I live here!! It was even packed on Christmas day!!!! Then food is a lot in the hotels.

saving money and las Vegas don't go to together, you have plenty of time to save up some money before his birthday, for example if you started saving 100 dollars a month right now you would have around a thousand dollars, get the idea? or 50 dollars and have 500.00 etc, try the Sahara, stratosphere or circus circus for the best rates...have fun

Right before Xmas is really cheap.. but also pretty far away. I went in August this past year, and it was pretty cheap...

If its your first time to Vegas, you're definately gonna wanna stay on the strip... Try pricing Imperial Palace, or Casino Royale, through their websites, theyre right in the middle of everything, and pretty cheap (especially for that location!!) I've never stayed at Casino Royale, but I have stayed at IP... its not the fanciest, but its not bad.. you cannot beat the location for the price.

May and June are a lil more expensive because the weather is so perfect ... Look for July or August, if you don't mind the heat.

You should consider flying. You don't need a car in Vegas

You'll find room rates are usually the lowest Sunday to Thursdays. Summer room rates can be good because of the heat. Stay at an off strip hotel like Sam's Town, The Orleans, Gold Coast, or you might find a good deal on the strip at Imperial Palace, Tropicana, Sahara, and sometimes the Flamingo. There are the downtown hotels on Fremont Street as well. I'd suggest a high end restaurant for a birthday but that doesn't sound like it's going to happen so, I can suggest going to one of the better buffets. Check out the buffet at Wynn or Bellagio.

Personally I don't see the point of taking a vacation anywhere and trying to save save save. The whole idea of going on a vacation is to enjoy it, and that costs money. If your constantly going to be worried about money, your not going to have a good time.

We got a three night free stay(on the strip), free dinner at the Tropicana, free tickets to a great comedy show from Tahiti Village...you can look them up on the web, just heard there advertisement on the radio yesterday. All you have to do is spend 2 hours going on their tour and listening to a sales speech. It's definetly worth it. Just don't count on the free gambling coupons they give, they are only for certain machines and the odds are terrible! Alot of people go and just don't buy into the timeshare...be prepared for high pressure sales though. I wouldn't suggest doing this with any of the other companies that offer it though...heard that they keep you longer than 2 hours.

My parents have taken advantage of those time share Las Vegas trip deals. They are a great deal, but kind of a pain to sit through. Then, they REALLY pressure you into buying with them of course. You might want to try sites like www.lasvegasinhotels.com for hotel package deals. These sites seem to have the best deals with no strings attached...

November

The best room rates are Monday through Thursday night, not on holidays or when major conventions are in town.

Try Circus Circus for a good rate; they have a manor/motel as well as hotel towers. Try Tropicana Hotel or Sahara Hotel.

Go to www.lasvegasnow.com and you will find llinks to everything you need.

Going to Vegas and saving money are two things that is just not possible.
However, it can be done on the cheap.
Go to http//:www.cheapovegas.com
This website has complete unbiased reviews of all of the Vegas major casinos and hotels, with direct links to each ones own website for further review.

Try http://www.smartervegas.com/hotels.aspx
use the promotion codes you find at the website to book direct from the hotel, there are great promotions that will save you alot. 3rd night free at MGM Grand and plenty more... enjoy ;)

The fact is that you DO NOT need to spend all kinds of money to go to Las Vegas and actually have fun. The reason I know this is because I go to Vegas a couple of times a year and have been doing so for some time now. I'm nowhere near wealthy, but I do my homework, do some research, spend some time in my computer and make my way to Vegas and enjoy it, while at the same time save some money.
There is absolutely no reason to have to stay 20 minutes out of Las Vegas to get a cheap hotel.

I checked the rates for the a few of the hotels and you can stay at the Sahara which is on the strip for $37 a night, you really can't get much cheaper than that........ go to MyVegasSecret and use their hotel search and you'll see what I mean, you'll find several options for hotels in your price range that I think you'll be happy with.

Another thing you should do, I'm not sure where you are traveling from, but check for flights from where you live to Las Vegas. You may find flight specials that might be cheaper for you to take that might even be cheaper than driving, (with today's gas prices being so high), I've found trips to Las Vegas from Florida which is where I live for $29 roundtrip on spiritair.com.

While you are there, you can always hit McDonalds for food, which is as cheap there as it is anywhere else, an it is inside many of the hotels on the strip. You don't need to drive anywhere there, and you can always take the monorail or the free shuttle bus that takes you up and down the strip.

The most money spent in Las Vegas is "gambling," which ironically I hardly ever do, but when I do, I find places like Casino Royale which have the lowest stakes blackjack on the strip. More than once I've gambled with $100 worth of chips for a couple of hours there and a few times came out a winner. (you also get Free drinks there)

So do some research, have fun do it and make take your boyfriend to Las Vegas, it will be a trip you'll both will never forget......

Have fun and goodluck!

Don't forget to bring a digital camera!!!!
