What are some "must do" things to do in Las Vegas?

I'm headed to Vegas for the first time ever. While I'll be working most of the time I am there, I will have one day free to do whatever. What do you suggest I do?

Fremont Street at night to watch the light show
Top of the Stratosphere at dusk to see all the lights coming on
The fountains at Bellagio

Go to Hoover dam and the Grand Canyon, you can take a tour bus or drive. Make sure to take a camera.

Walk through all the main hotels on the strip...they are amazing and each on has unique activites there. Check out a show and also go to the Stratosphere.....it's so much fun!!!! Have fun in vegas!!!!

Enjoy the free attractions

Remember to see the Bellagio fountains and Fremont street at night.

Have fun

Do the rides at the top of the Stratosphere!

See Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo :)

Cirque du Soleil

See the Luxor hotel at night

Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon is great check out the below websites http://lasvegas.nyctourist.com/ and http://www.123world.com/las-vegas/ Good Lcuk!

I also like the trip to Mt. Charleston. It's about a 45 minute drive up the mountain west of Vegas. They have a lodge there and a nice fireplace. Slots, if you can't get away from playing, too, lol. However, it's a great drive; great view and you feel like you are at a Colo. ski lodge. There was even snow on the ground one May I was there and on the strip, it was quite warm. You do NOT feel like you are in Vegas when you are there, so it's adds a nice variant to the trip.
