Would you go to Vegas with only 140 dollars?

Is it worth it?

Assuming that this is not your budget dollars for travel, transportation, and a room.

Lets break it down for 3 days and 2 nights, which is the average stay in Vegas.

2 meals a day minimum, average $7.00 for the cheapest meals at McDonald's, Nathans Hot Dogs, etc. equals $42.00 for meals.

Now you have $98.00 left.

If you only play penny slots, to get full line action on such a machine, you need at least 15 cents a spin, which gives you 6,533 spins.
If you spin the slot machine 10 times a minute, (which would be really slow),
and did not get one winning spin this will last you 653 minutes of gaming, (rounded up),
or a little less than 11 hours of gaming.
Divide by 3 days than you get to gamble less than 4 hours a day.
Now if you play black jack, $98.00 at a $5.00 black jack table will give you 19 full hands to play, if you did not win any hands.
This will let you play black jack for about 6 minutes.

Now, if you want to take advantage of free drinks while gambling, you also need to tip the cocktail waitress at least $1.00 a round.
If you stiff her, then you will not see her again.
The drinks are free, not the service!

So, if you want to eat, and gamble for real, take a lot more money!

Now, you may get lucky and win a jack pot on the first spin, and hit a winning streak.
But face the music, Vegas is not built on winners.
Its the average person, who looses their money.

To have a really great Vegas vacation, plan on at least $300 to $500 a day for food an gambling per person.

Treat your gambling money like it was entertainment money, and have fun, and only gamble what you can aford to loose!

Yes and turn it into 5000 dollars.

If you don't gamble, and don't eat anywhere near the strip. so pretty much, No

Why not that 140 dollars can turn into 1400 dollars in no time if you have a little bit of luck

YES!!

Yes, you could turn that to millions. go for it.

Sure, if you sleep in your car and play penny slots.

no!!!!!!!! That;ll get u into 1 bar...maybe

Nope...not unless I lived about an hour away.

no because that is not enough like at all

i would

Well, if your travel expenses are already taken care of, and you're not gambling, I don't see why not. But if you still have to pay for eating/hotel/etc, then no.

No because if you go off spending it you will be so out of luck and don't forget about cash so you should have at least $1,000.

i just got back from vegas last week and i spent about 1,800 in three days and i was trying not to spend to much so i would say no

You can play a lot of penny slot machines with that amount of money and have a couple of cheap meals. Just wont pay for a room and the above

hell yeah

skippy say only if you plan on staying an hour.

Hell No! Not unless I had a credit card or some other means of accessing cash. That's not enough to get a room and I don't trust my luck enough to try to turn $140 into a 4 or 5 day trip!

Yes you can sleep at sunset park at night for free and then go hang around the sports books all day looking at games to bet on 4 or 5 team parlays for $5 and $10 and eat footlong hotdogs and dollar beer at slots of fun. Then you could walk downtown or catch a bus and go to the western hotel and gold spike to get some companship for $20 then you can take the bus from downtown back out to sunset park and find a nice tree to sleep under and wake up and do it all over again. good times.have fun and good luck.

Guess I would, because I have!

I would go just for the eye candy

Easy: No.

I just got back from Vegas last week. My trip was already paid. I went with $115.00 and hit the jackpot on a penny machine and came home with $4,500.
Why not go, you never know what can happen in Vegas. Remember life is too short, you only live once. Might as well enjoy it! Go for it.

No. Not worth it and you'll definitely regret it. That is the ultimate "sucker bet"! Don't do it no matter how much you're tempted.

If all the money I had in the world was $140, I would not go on a trip. I would save until I could enjoy all that Vegas had to offer me.

If the airline and hotel are paid for and I had $140 spending cash, I would definitely go and have a grand old time. I would go swimming in the hotel pool, get a workout at the spa, enjoy some light reading. I would see if there is a good show (half price at tickets 2 night). Just walking around the strip at night is energizing.

I live here and I wouldn't go to the strip anytime without at least 100 in cash and a few charge cards ready to fill.!!!!!!!!!

It depends on how long your staying and WHAT you plan on doing when you get there.

Maybe for one day and an overnight stay at let's say a Days Inn, but overall, no. Unless you really feel lucky, try it!

140 will support you for a few hours.

play the penny slots and wait for the waitress to come by for free cocktails! There is alot to see there without spending $.

I went with only 8 dollars in my pocket and in one year ended up making 20 thousand a year with full benifits.
