Was there earthquake damage or deaths in Baja in 1985?

In September of 1985 an Earthquake measuring 8.1 on the Richter Scale centered in the subdution zone off Acapulco killed more than 4,000 inMexico City. I also think I interpeted that the place you're asking about is located offareas of Mexicos' Coastline on the Gulf of California.....which I also think is the Baja California Peninsula....if I even spelled it correctly. My brain cells are corroded so please bear with me. You probably already know the answer anyway. That was fun. Thanks for testing us. Do I fail or what? ~~~

No I don`t know if people died in Baja during the 85 quake but I was curious bcuz we were very close to moving there last jan. and then the job offer was withdrawn. Lets see what happens if anything tomorrow. Report It
