Why do Koreans discriminate against gyopos?

Why do Koreans discriminate against gyopos?

.. Most are not like that actually, when i went to korea a lot of people were very polite and respectful
yet.. i felt kinda isolated, like i wasn't korean or something. i don't know.. but some weren't as nice though

I am a second generation gyopo and I've personally never had any problems of being discriminated against by Koreans. In fact, whenever I visit Korea, I don't get treated any different than a Korean living in Korea.

If you're respectful and polite, the there is no problem. I've never had hiring problems or people treating me differently in terms of customer service. In fact, most of my gyopo friends make MUCH more money than the other expats because of their personal connections to natives (Korean people are all about nepotism).

However, If you're rude and think you're better than the natives, then you deserve it. Some gyopos, especially a few of the ones that are fluent in Korean, can be obnoxious towards natives because they're fluent in both languages. They make fun of Native people's accents when they speak English, and they make fun of other gyopos who can't speak well when they speak Korean. I've met a small handful of these kinds of people. All they do is work maybe 20 hours a week, get paid 4-5K a month, play to the wee hours, and squander their money on cushy apts and nice clothes. Meanwhile half the country is struggling with high unemployment and making big sacrifices to be able to pay for their overpaid tutors. If I were a native, I'd hate them too!

It sounds better than the treatment towards ban-Jjokbari ("half pig-foot") , I guess.
