Does korea have a different mailing system? How do I send a package from America to Korea?

South Korea is a member of the Universal Postal Union.

The South Korean mailing system is very similar to the Post Office within the United States.

If you are sending a package from the United States to South Korea, I make this suggestion -

First, take the address and some sticky-back mailing labels with you to a nearby Korean Import Food Store where you live.

Ask the shop owners for assistance; that you would like them to write the address (in South Korea) in the Korean language.

To get better assistance, I would suggest that you make a small purchase, such as some Korean type snack food. Doing this will ensure receiving help writing the mailing label in the Korean language.

After you receive the mailing address written in Korean, then write (in English) South Korea at the very bottom of the label, for the benefit of American Postal Workers. This will ensure the package is routed to the correct country.

I would also suggest on the Customs Label, that for any food items, you add the notation "factory packaged" on the label; this may help avoid confiscation of food items that any Customs Officials may question.

Of course they do ! It's a different country ! Just take your package to the post office and have them weigh it. Airmail will cost you 90 cents an ounce. Sea mail is much cheaper, and ALOT slower.

The same way you would to send a package to anywhere else from America: Take your package to any U.S. post office. The address can be written in either English or Korean. The postal clerk will be able to help you with any forms that may be required to be filled out.

If you know the address, you can mail a package to Korea from any USA post office. It will take up to a month to get there, depending if you sent it sea mail or air mail.

put it on a boat! throw some azn's on as well while you're at it. i hear korea is immensely underpopulated.
