Are koreans are friendly but in the philippnes there are so many koreans why?

but the filipino said there are not friendly too others there are so rude

Here is a great comparison of the treatment of Philippines in Korea.

Mexicans in United States.

Many poor southeastern asians come to Korea illegally through boats and other methods to get a job. Not specifically to live a better life but to earn money. Most philippines work for minimum wage and racism ensues just like how many Americans wishes the Mexicans to leave.

Koreans are not mean toward those people, they just don't care and would not like to have them working illegally.

Koreans are rather well respected and doing well off in the Philippines because they have money and things are cheap over there. I know many Korean families who have sent their children to Philippines to learn English. Even in the Philippines koreans feel as if they are more superior

I've worked with both nationalities. There are some very rude Koreans and Filipinos as there are in all cultures, but generally they are happy, friendly people.
I think Korean people are more likely to strike up a conversation with a stranger though and are more outgoing, most Filipinos I have met are quite shy.

as a filipina, where not rude to others were friendly, and philippines is so nice thats why koreans love to go here thats why theres so many koreans here.

i have a few korean friends and they are okay..they are nice..they cook food for us everytime they invite us to their place..well, it's just that what they cook are hot and spicy food..they love to play and drink..others are here to learn english while others are for vacation..others could be here for business purposes i guess so..

I think Ginny Jin is correct for saying that there are rude and unfriendly people from each culture, but it doesn't mean that everyone from that country is like that, I've studied in the Philippines for a year, and they think I'm quite friendly and nice. There are just koreans who prefer to just be friends with other koreans for they are having a hard time communicating. Another reason of other koreans is that some Filipinos just like to make fun of them (but not all). I guess, it really depends on the person itself, never their race. I hope you get my idea ^^;;;

KOREANS DOESNT LIKE PEOPLE FROM POOR COUNTRIES,..,..THATS ALL,.....

Koreans perceive themselves to be superior to other Asian countries, especially the poorer ones. It doesn't help that most Filipinos in Korea are cheap laborers, get married to the hapless Korean farmers, or are hookers. So, the perception of Filipinos isn't great to many Koreans. Still, many Koreans go to the Philippines to study English because it's cheap.

I wouldn't say that Koreans are intentionally rude to Filipinos; but, I would say they are proud.

I think they are just missed understood.. maybe because of the culture, and also the language.. it affects the communication of both nationalities..

dont mean that all koreans are rude. maybe it's just that koreaans are having a hard time coz they may not speak english so they just prefer to hang around with each other and not involve others around them. but it dont mean they are rude, there are koreans who are kind. im korean and i live in england. koreans here are nice here but they just prefer to hang around with each other because they are not fluent in english. I hang around with both english and korean. NOT ALL KOREANS CAN BE RUDE. As there can be both rude and kind english people and both rude and kind people in the phillipines...

Ok answering the original question, of why there are so many Koreans in the Phillippines. Many older Korean senior citizens are retiring in the Philipines, especially in the Cebu area. Property is cheaper, and people from Korea are highly accepted there. If they are younger they are most likely attending English school programs. The Phillippines is now regarded as ALMOST a native speaking English country. Most people in Korea can't afford to go to Canada, Aus, Eng, America, Ireland, or S.A.. It's cheaper there and they speak English in the Phillippines as a second language. By the way, the western civilization is the capital of rudeness. The only reason Asian countries are becoming rude is because of the Westernization process. I am not Korean or Filipino.

I have nothing against both cultures. Everyone has their own style and attitude towards things depending on their views and how they are brought up.
