Hey does anyone know the age restriction for clubbing in seoul?? or maybe its the same as the drinking age?

It amazes me how many foreigners don't know the laws lol. The age for legal drinking, and being able to go to a club is 20. Now thats in the Korean traditional age. But in legal age it's 19. I got checked every now and then when I went to pubs, or tried to get into a few clubs. When I was 19 I was allowed, but when I first came to Korea I was 18 and rejected. There are signs in local Korean markets that sell cigs and soju, it will let you know what year you where born is the legal, just like in the west. Yeah some of those stupid foreign based clubs might not ID you, they just want you to pay the ridiculous door charge of 25 or 30,000 won.

Nobody checks I.D. at the clubs, so you won't have any problem getting in.

edit: foreigners do know the laws and they also know that they are not enforced. If you get rejected entrance into a club or a bar, it's because they don't want you there --- not because of your age.

Most of the clubs that actually care about your age will mark people by either wrist band or stamp to separate the adults from the kids.
There are some clubs that are specifically age restricted (such as 30 and over) in order to create a certain atmosphere (like no smell of dirty diapers.)
Just check out the area or club you want to go to. If you are old enough to stay out that late without a note from your mom you will likely be able to get into the club.

If you're foreign and over the age of 14 you will almost certainly not have any trouble getting into a club...not that you should be going to those places if you're that age!

well im pretty sure they would tell you or not. they might ask for your I.D. Well they do. I went to Seoul before. If you want to go in a club you need a I.D or if its like a kids club or somethin you don't need one

the only restriction to most clubs i go to is you can't be AZN.
