Links For (Really Old) Pictures of Korea? |
I am hoping that Answers may provide me with some links so that I may view some really old pictures of Korea. Also, some news stories links would also be appreciated. I guess these sites would be a help. Can't help you with that. The old Dutch movie "The Field of Honor" is translated into English and is about 1951 Munsan. It was filmed in Korea and is very accurate. If you have a VCR, order it. ALso, the VFW printed a history of the Korean war with hundreds of photos of the war torn country. Their history of WWII (vol. 2) gives a scant coverage of the Japanese surrendering Korea to the allies, a few shots there. US Camera 1948 has several pictures of post-war, pre-NK invasion Korea. If you want, I could throw it on the scanner for you. I have a copy of Korea Moves Ahead (1961) that was published by the Park regieme to sell the idea of his coup to the UN. Now THAT has some interesting photos! I found this one; a collection of photos of Korea under Japanese occupation. Hope it helps. |

It's definitely challenging. The writing system is EASY to learn. Many English speakers look at Korean writing and are scared off because it's different however, Korean hangeul is cons... Learn to speak English and maybe you will get some reply's!
