Korean...?

How difficult is it for a native english speaker to learn the Korean language?

It's definitely challenging.

The writing system is EASY to learn. Many English speakers look at Korean writing and are scared off because it's different however, Korean hangeul is considered to be the EASIEST writing system in the world to learn. You'll have to study a little at first, but once you learn them, you'll be able to read Korean easily.

Reading and writing are easy, but speaking and listening are more difficult. Korean is a SOV (subject-object-verb) language, like Japanese, Mongolian, and Turkish. English is a SVO (subject-verb-object) language, so trying to learn Korean grammatical structures can be difficult for English-speakers to learn. There are also levels of politeness in Korean that can be difficult, as well.

Pronunciation is a bit difficult for some English-speakers, as well. Korean is not tonal, so it's not too difficult, but some sounds are unfamiliar to English-speakers. I'd say pronunciation is only moderately difficult, and of course, once you do know it, you don't have to worry about it. Grammar is really the most difficult thing for English-speakers learning Korean.

Good luck, though! If you're truly interested and dedicated, it does make learning easier!

not hard at all! In fact it's much easier than Japanese, and much much more easier than Chinese. Plus, there are a lot of English words in the Korean language like washing machine, computer, tennis etc.

hmmm.. it's quite hard.
but when you learn and discover the difference between
English and Korean grammar... you will get used to it.

in English, it's a S-V-O format,
while in Korean, it's a S-O-V format.
Verb always ends in their sentence.

as for constructing sentences, you should include particles.
even for subject, object, etc.

Language study is always difficult. Korean is not an easy language at all for an English speaker. I have been studying for almost 6 years and still have difficulty. I would not say that Japanese or Chinese are easier, but I have been told that Korean is the hardest foreign language for native English speakers to learn.

But it is definitely worth learning, so if you are interested in learning Korean, I would encourage you to do so.

It is very hard.
It is hard for many native english speakers to learn Korean language because Korean might contain some hard pronunciation and sometimes a hard accent
However, there are many native english speakers out there like Korea who are having a successful life speaking almost fluent Korean

for the most part i can understand korean but i can't speak or write it. It hasn't been easy and to this day i still cant write or speak it fully and im korean.

Learning a new language is always challenging specially if the language has a different writing system such as that of Korea but surprisingly its easy to learn the their writing system (Hangul). I am currently studying it, the sentence structure is different from English as mentioned by those who asnwered your question. Pronunciation is a lot easier than English, it's not as complex as how English pronunciations are. The construction of the sentence is the challenging part. Verb is the most important part of sentence format in Korean, subject is something that you can drop in your sentence.

I think you also need to understand their culture in some way so you would be able to speak sensibly .

Goodluck.
