Is polygamy still legal in Korea?

Is polygamy still legal in Korea?

No, but Korean men cheating on their wives with hookers is still legal and commonplace.

I would like to have two Korean wives.

No, and I'm not sure it ever was technically "legal" either, but Korea is a place where until recently the law was kept strictly out of the domestic sphere so polygamy did occur (especially if the man was well-off). It's not something that has been commonplace in the last 30+ years though so I don't know where you could have gotten your information.

Polygamy was not technically legal in Korea in the Choson period, and was never legal in the 20th century.

i don't think it was ever LEGAL..
