For those people who oppose American bases remain stationed in South Korea?

Do you truely believe South Korean arm forces are capable of smashing North Korean military aggression?

No. I am a Korean and I don't think Korea alone is enough for that. It is because of that South Korea lets males spend 2years while North Korea does for 10years or more. Even though South Korea is a lot more advanced in all fields and more population than North Korea. Therefore
there are 1,100,000 of soldiers in North Korea while South Korea is a little less than half of it. This is why right after we finish our military service, for 7years we South Koreans still must to go to a military camp once a year and spend a week being trained.

Your understanding of the military and war appears to be very limited. The ROK Army does not need to be able to smash the DPRK. They only need to be able to defend against an attack, which is a whole lot easier.

So, to answer your question, yes. They are quite capable.

Wow, I get less thumbs down when I say something critical of Korea. It is lucky that these days I find little to praise about it, because I do not like thumbs down.

I agree with Boom.
They are prepared to defend themselves, and the "deal' was that we would stay until they could. That time has come and gone. Besides, Roh's "sunshine policy" has been working in direct opposition to US policy in North Korea for years... so why and how are we "on the same team" here anyway?

I'm not in the military, but I don't think Korean soldiers are capable of defending the country. Also, most American soldiers I meet don't want to be here, so it's not like these men and women are receiving a favor from South Korea.
