Planning to visit Friend in Korea. What do i need?

If i am living in the U.S What do i need to go to S. korea? I have a Passport.. Do i need to also get a vaccine or something and if so how do i arrange one?
Also if anything else is required please list
thanks

If you are an American citizen you can come to Korea with only a passport and stay for up to 30 days. Have your friends address and phone number ready to show where you plan to stay. If you're staying in a hotel, have that information ready. If you don't have an address, you might get hassled a bit. You don't need to get a vaccine to visit Korea.

Nothing else is required but money (you can exchange U.S. dollars at the airport or any bank in Korea).

These are things that I would recommend bringing:
a camera
a current Korea travel guide (Lonely Planet is good)
deodorant
toothpaste
books and/or magazines
clothing that you can wear in layers

I am planning a trip to Korea in March. From my research on the Korean Embassy website, you are not required to obtain a visa is you are visiting for less than 30 days. You will be required to show proof of how and when you will leave the country (plane ticket) and proof of funds (money, credit cards) to sustain yourself while in the country.

You only need vaccines if you will be living amongst the locals. It wont hurt anything to get them. Call your doctor and ask if they have them and if they dont call your local health dept. Take some Immodium, the first two days were hell on my tummy!
It is VERY cold there. Wrap up!

u should learn some korean language,,or carry a korean guy there:)
people don't speak english there,,,although they are supposed to

I am American, living in Seoul.
when you mo ve here, they suggest many vaccines, especially if you will be traveling throughout Asia.. this is not the casse for you. You really do not need anything, but Hep A never hurts. Even if you get it, I would suggest you avoid street food. No reason to risk an upset stomach/diarreah on your short trip.
what I would bring, if I were you, is any medication you might need. Bring a small supply of Advil,anti-diarreah, neosporin, etc. with you. Western meds are not easily found here. adn you will pay A LOT for Pepto Bismol, through a black market stall, should you need it.
Of course, if you are visiting military personnel here, they would have access to teh store on base, fo forget what i said.

Also, deodorant,w estern-type, NOT availble in the stores. Korean deodorant does not work like ours.. trust me on this.

toothbrush/paste/feminine hygiene is all cheaper and better here than in states..

oh, and do not forget good walking shoes.. unless your host has a car.
