Which Korean historical drama do you enjoy watching?

I'm currently watching 雽€臁办榿 Dae Jo Yung. How about you?

Living In Korea: Do you know the Korean title of 'The Merchant of Josun?' (I think I might have already watched that drama..) I watched the movie you're talking about - 'Heaven's Soldiers,' titled 觳滉蛋 in Korean and released in '05. I really enjoyed it.
Yuri: If you're talking about the same drama as I am, I hope you're enjoying it a lot too. The scenes are great and they get me on the edge of my seat.

I was really enjoying watching "The Merchant of Joesun" (sp) on Arirang Channel. I don't remember whether or not true, but it was back a couple hundred years or so. But sadly, my Cable company removed the Arirang channel.

Another "historical" fiction type movie I would love to watch whenever I can find it with English subtitles is the movie (from last year?) titled

"Heaven's Soldiers"

This was a movie where a group of both South and North Korean Soldiers went back in time to the days of Yi, Sun-Shin; they found the futuristic Yi, Sun-Shin was instead a common beggar/thief.

They finally squared away Yi, Sun-Shin so that he finally became a future Admiral; hence his futuristic victory wiping out the Japanese Fleet at the battle of Hanson-Do.

My all-time favorite one is 項堨(Heo Jun, 2000).

I also love these two great dramas though they are not entirely based on a true story/historical facts.

雼る is soooooo fantastic if you are able to understand old-fashioned Korean language.

I've never really tried watching historical dramas. but since you got me interested, i'll find time to watch some.

I really liked 頃挫嫚 Emperor of the Sea and Capital Scandal as it is the only drama of that period I came across

I don't really watch too many historical dramas because its kinda hard to understand and not really intersting but i found Hwang Jini really good and of course dae jang geum.
