What type of guys do korean women go for? Do they like western men?

Depends on what kind of Korean woman you want:

-respects parents/culture

Korean Korean
-tall

-good-looking
-friendly
-ok with korean food

You might have better luck with a korean-american because korean people like to marry within their race. Plus you'll have an easier time with the parents (more likely to speak English).

They generally stick within their own race but that's the same with all cultures. I know many Korean ladies but have yet to meet any who have actually married a Western man, although I'm sure it must happen occasionally. Btw My husband is Korean so I'm sure if they meet the right person they will marry outside their race. lol x

Yes, they like western guys. Some prefer western guys.

But to increase your chances with a Korean woman:

1) have money
2) have a good job
3) be good looking
4) be tall
5) have a good sense of humor
6) be able to ignore resentful Korean men
7) have a regular sized penis; you will be a hero to a Korean girl.

Basically, if you scored with women in your home country you probably will in Korea too. If you didn't, you probably won't in Korea either.

Yes, some do. It all depends on the type of woman you go after.
If you go after educated business women, they will expect you to be educated as well.
Of course, if you go after bar tramps they do not care about your education so long as you have some means of earning money.
Also, Korean women these days tend to think they have far more to offer than they do. There is actually a Korean phrase for it-- their eyes are high-- and it has manifested itself in a way that many farmers are mail ordering brides from other countries.
Really what that means is there are a lot of desperate bar flies out there on the top edge of marrying age.

I think kimkg has an interesting point. I cannot speak for every Korean woman, but not all Korean women go for good-looking and tall men these days. (Look at some Korean male comedians with 'interesting faces' who are married to beautiful women.) It is still an important factor, yes. Many Korean women like men with a sturdy economic background who can support her. Money issues are a big factor in relationships.. Both genders also like someone they can comfortably have a conversation. I think Korean women do like Western men. (1/4 Korean children have a mixed ethnic background..)
