A question on Korean grammar (past tense)...?

When a verb requires that you form its past tense by adding either 鞎?雼? or 鞐?雼?, is there a way to know which? Or is there (like I suspect) no pattern to it at all? If that's the case, are there easy ways to remember?

Thanks! ^^

hey,, i think i could help you a little bit.
hmm, to do some past tense, korean usually uses 鞎橂嫟 or 鞐堧嫟.

we could knew whether they used 鞎橂嫟 or 鞐堧嫟 depends on the vowel in the verb.

For example:
毹闺嫟 (Eat) become 毹轨棃雼?
Can you notice the '銋?#039;??
for '銋?#039;, '銋?#039; we usually uses 鞐堧嫟.

another example:
鞎岆嫟 (to know) become 鞎岇晿雼?
Can you notice the '銋?#039;??
for '銋?#039;, '銋?#039; we usually uses 鞎橂嫟.

However, there are so many irregularity in korean verbs. so, we can't depend 100% on these rules.
Hope it helps u a little bit.

Just like English, easy words in Korean language such as see, run, know, etc, have irregualr forms, and you'd better memorize all, I don't think the numbers of irregular verbs are many.

Beyond easy words, normally Koreans language verbs have a form of Noun+頃橂嫟.

頃橂嫟's past form is 頄堧嫟.
